Frequently Asked Questions

What differentiates Ingleside at Home from other home and community based service organizations?

Ingleside at home is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide the highest quality of services to our clients. Ingleside at Home’s care providers are employees, not contractors, who have been vetted through a rigorous hiring process that includes reference checks, in-person interviews and verification of licensure if applicable. Ingleside at Home partners with HomeCare Pulse, a satisfaction management company that performs monthly surveys to determine the success of client and caregiver engagement. This satisfaction data is used as a benchmark of quality with local and national home and community based services organizations. In addition, Ingleside at Home is part of the Ingleside family, which includes three continuing care retirement communities—Ingleside at King Farm, Ingleside at Rock Creek and Westminster at Lake Ridge—known for quality of service, compassionate care and financial security.

Is there an initial meeting before services begin?

Ingleside at Home’s office staff collects demographic data to begin services, which can be done either in person or over the phone. An RN may be required to perform an in-home assessment, based on state regulations. Our regional coordinator will be there to assist you in the process to get services started.

What can I expect after the initial meeting?

A service plan will be generated and remain in the home for the client and caregiver to reference. The service plan will also be available electronically for your caregiver.

What services will be implemented from Ingleside at Home?

Each client’s needs are different. Our dedicated office and clinical staff will assist you in customizing a plan to fit your needs.

How are Ingleside at Home’s services billed? Can services be billed to long-term care insurance?

Ingleside at Home services are billed on a bi-weekly basis and the method you receive your invoice can be customized at the beginning of your care. While we do not bill long-term care insurance, we are available to assist in the transmission of documentation needed for claim processing. As there are many long-term care policies, we recommend that you reach out to your insurance provider to determine if your long-term care insurance covers our services.

What are the hiring standards at Ingleside at Home?

All of our care providers are employees, not independent contractors. Every potential candidate undergoes a rigorous screening including phone and in-person interviews, licensure verification, background checks and confirmation of U.S. employment eligibility to assure that every employee meets federal and state requirements and Ingleside at Home’s high standards.

What type of continuing education and training are required of Ingleside at Home caregivers?

Our personal caregivers receive 12 or more hours of annual continuing education on state or jurisdiction-mandated and in-home specific topics. Competency testing and skill verification are required for all of our licensed staff. A mentoring program for new hires involves orientation to Ingleside at Home daily operations.
