Letter from Ingleside at Home

Dear Ingleside at Home Family,

As our country comes together to maneuver through the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Ingleside at Home (IAH) wanted to send a quick note and share with you the steps we are taking during these unprecedented times.

We at IAH have always had two goals, to provide quality service to our residents and to protect the Ingleside communities.  Especially now with the COVID-19 pandemic, this has not changed.  Our priority is still to protect you, our team members, and the rest of the Ingleside community.  We will continue to provide uninterrupted quality service to meet your current needs and the needs that may have arisen in the last couple of weeks.

Letter from Ingleside President & CEO

Dear Ingleside Family,

In the past couple of weeks, our world has taken on a new form. Moments like these bring out the unified strength of our Ingleside family even in the most demanding times. As Mattie Stepanek so eloquently said, "Unity is strength ... when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."

As we continue to work together through this ever-changing situation, we thank everyone for their support and understanding as we remain proactive in maintaining the health and well-being of our entire Ingleside family. I am so grateful for our dedicated and caring staff and want to extend to them my sincerest appreciation for continuing to provide exceptional care for all our residents and clients.

For the health and safety of our beloved residents, clients, staff and greater community we are continuing to adhere to strict guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and state-specific health departments.

We will continue to share updates, though in the meantime, please do not hesitate to visit our website for additional information and, we have community-specific, designated hotline phone numbers and email addresses for questions from residents and families.

In closing, I want to share another quote from Mattie Stepanek, "We all have life storms, and when we get the rough times and we recover from them, we should celebrate that we got through it. No matter how bad it may seem, there's always something beautiful that you can find." I see the beauty in all of you, our Ingleside family. Together we will get through this.

March 26, 2020 update

We understand that staying connected with family and friends is vitally important, and our community is adapting our life enrichment programs while following the latest Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local Health Department requirements related to the COVID-19 virus. We are continuing to develop and implement new initiatives to keep people connected and spirits lifted, such as:

  • Using iPads for video chatting/calls using FaceTime, Zoom, and Skype
  • Scheduling virtual group community meetings
  • Providing list of resources including free-access online lectures, concerts, and how to’s for technology

Letter from Ingleside President & CEO

Dear Ingleside Family,

Caring for the health, well-being, and safety of residents, clients, and staff is Ingleside’s top priority and is rooted in Ingleside’s values. Out of an abundance of caution for the Ingleside family communities, Ingleside has implemented safeguards to minimize the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) through education, prevention, screening, and assessment.  For residents, staff, and guests, our goal is to prevent and to mitigate the coronavirus.

The Ingleside family is being proactive by taking measures in an effort to keep residents and staff healthy.  As such, it is following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) and local health departments’ guidance. Ingleside strives every day to provide exceptional services and care for everyone in our communities and will continue to monitor and adjust the preventative measures.  A coronavirus team is in place comprised of staff representatives from the three communities, Ingleside at Home, Westminster Ingleside Foundation, WING, and Ingleside HQ. 

We understand some of the measures implemented may seem restrictive.  Please know that we care and that your health, safety, and wellbeing is paramount.  The coronavirus team members will continue to share updates as together we weather this evolving situation.

COVID-19 Precautions at Ingleside Communities

The Ingleside Family is being proactive by taking measures in an effort to keep residents, clients and staff healthy. 

 

 The well-being, health and safety of our residents, clients, and staff is always our top priority and Ingleside has proactively implemented additional precautions to minimize the risk of introducing coronavirus (COVID-19) into our communities through education and assessment. 

We are continuing to provide information to our residents, clients, staff, and visitors including Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization fact sheets and prevention guidelines. We will continue to monitor guidance directly from the CDC and local health departments and adjust policies and procedures as necessary.

Ingleside is committed to keeping residents, clients, staff and visitors healthy. We thank you for joining our efforts in keeping our communities infection-free.

We kindly request that you please postpone your visit, connect via telephone or video with loved ones if you have recently traveled to an area known to be affected by COVID-19, or if you are experiencing symptoms. If visiting our communities, we will ask if you have experienced a fever or respiratory symptoms in the last 24 hours. We also will ask if you have traveled recently.

We ask that you please follow our prevention guidelines:

  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
